    I'm a women's size 8 AU (39 EU/6 UK), which is a size 9 in Pleasers according to their chart. Now the Pleasers size chart recommends going an additional size up for close-toe shoes. I stuck to a size 9 and I'm glad I did because, even when wearing silicone-backed sporty anklet socks in these shoes, I have a tiny gap at the heel. THAT SAID, these are the most comfortable heels I've owned. I don't know how to describe it, they 'hug' your foot in the middle instead of putting all the pressure on your toes and heel. I bought these because I thought the Oxford lace up would give me more stability and I was right. If you're training for higher heels, I highly recommend these. They're also stunning, duh, and feel borderline sensible enough to wear during the day.
